Where does the money that we raise for the Heart Walk go?

A: Each year millions of people participate in Heart Walks around the country. Each walker is asked to raise money from friends and family, coworkers, business acquaintances, association members, etc. The money that is raised each year will be used to fund the valuable research, education and advocacy efforts of the American Heart Association.

Do I have to raise money to participate in the Heart Walk?

A: No, however we rely upon valued Heart Walk participants and donors across the country to fund research and education programs like the Start! movement. Raising funds through the Heart Walk is a great way to make a difference in the lives of others.
